Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC)

Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a common skin cancer that may appear as a changing scaly lesion or a non-healing sore. Some SCCs can spread, so suspicious lesions need timely medical assessment. Treatment depends on the diagnosis, size, location and risk features. Excision and pathology may be part of the plan, with repair by direct closure, a graft or a flap when appropriate.
