About Dr. Raj Zaman
Training & Expertise
Dr Shahriar Raj Zaman graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2009 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). His surgical training included experience in plastic surgery, neurosurgery and general surgery.
He completed the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Fellowship examination in Plastic Surgery in June 2022. He subsequently undertook further training in complex microsurgical reconstruction at Asan Medical Centre in Seoul, South Korea, and aesthetic surgery training in Sydney through the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons at Macquarie University.
His practice includes reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery, with consultations in Murdoch, Joondalup and Bunbury.
Teacher & Scholar
Dr Zaman teaches anatomy and clinical practice to junior doctors and plastic surgery trainees. His education roles include clinical teaching in hospital settings and work as a faculty member and course convener at the Clinical Training and Evaluation Centre (CTEC).
He has contributed to publications in Australia and internationally and has presented on melanoma and complex reconstruction, including during his training at Asan Medical Centre in South Korea. His ongoing education and research interests complement his clinical practice.

Dr Zaman’s practice interests include hand surgery, melanoma and skin cancer surgery, complex microsurgical reconstruction, aesthetic breast surgery and body contouring.
